This device does not specifically measure energy usage, it is more designed to monitor the car's performance and other maintenance issues. However, the data it receives could be adapted to monitoring energy usage.

My group and I found when searching for these devices that there was a lot of the same sort of ideas just regurgitated over again. There is limited variety considering our advanced state of development in technology, and no one device truly stood out for us and made us want to buy it. Though energy monitoring devices definitely have potential to be incorporated into our daily lives.
